This page will serve as a portfolio of all the work that I have done over my journalistic career. Throughout the page, we will look at the different skills I acquired during this class such as photoshop, illustrator, premier, and the building of my own website.

In the beginning of the semester I knew what photoshop was, but didn’t know how to use the app at all. When informed that we were going to be using most of the adobe software I was a bit nervous because I wasn’t sure if I was going to be able to do it or not seeing as I had no experience with the apps before.

Once diving into photoshop, I watched a couple tutorials and caught on pretty quickly. I not only learned how to edit photos, but also how to alter and combine different photos! I also gained a lot of valuable knowledge with the photoshop app that allows me to be proficient in the work field.

We also uses the adobe premier app which was a little less complicated for me to understand at first seeing as I had prior experience with the editing of videos. Although the software I used prior was way more minimalistic, it did help in my process of understanding the premier app. I now feel comfortable using the premier app to create content that I am happy with.

In the beginning of the semester I was completely lost and confused on how to use any of the adobe apps, but after multiple trial and error, tutorials, and the help of my professor, I was able to learn how to use a lot of the major adobe platforms. I now know how to edit videos, sound for podcasts, photos, and make logos. This class helped me discover some hidden talent that I didn’t know I had. I also gained a passion for photoshop, where I now find myself editing photos a lot in my free time.

Although I am still learning how to use these apps so that I can perfect the craft, I do know that this class helped me gain a lot of valuable knowledge in the adobe apps which has sparked a new interest in my life.
